History

1879

Biedermann has been a family of carpenter-joiners for four generations, passing on the passion from father to son since... 1906!

In 1879, Emile Biedermann, the first of the line, trained in Vienna (Austria) and passed his Meisterprüfung (Master Carpenter diploma). Upon his return to Switzerland, he began his career near Geneva, in Chêne-Bougeries.

In 1886, he founded his company and developed his business in the Trois-Chêne region.

1906

In 1906, he built the current registered office, the workshops and the family's home in chemin Deluc. Following his father's footsteps, his son took over the company. Despite the very difficult economic context during and between the two world wars, the company experienced notable expansion.

1968

In 1968, the third Emile succeeded his father. He obtained two federal master's degrees (joiner-carpenter) and continued to develop the family business.

1988

Marc Biedermann has been at the head of the company since 1988. He has modernized and structured the company by introducing high-tech methods of production and reorganizing the internal structure of the company. At the same time, he is driving a participative management program as well as a training and development program that reinforces team spirit and employee expertise
